New Google Drive Save Node for ComfyUI

This Google Drive Save Node will save you a lot of space!

If you are anything like me, you generate a lot of images. Because when you are looking to get that perfect image, the one that is exactly the way you wanted it to be, generating just a couple of images just isn’t enough. Sometimes you need to create 100 images just to find that one image that you want to use.

Or as I have been doing a lot lately, creating completely random images from batches of images. It’s fun and you never really know what to expect, but it’s also a bit addicting because you can’t wait to see what type of image will come next.

However, it also takes up a lot of space on your computer. The installation itself, together with all models and Lora etc, takes up a large part of my diskspace.

While single images themselves doesn’t take up too much space, the massive amount of them that we create does!

My solution to this was to create a custom node for ComfyUI that allows you to save images and videos that you create directly to your Google Drive. You don’t have to manually go through all your images and decide which to save, which to archive for another day and which to delete (I myself rather not delete anything that isn’t a complete failure!).

Google Drive Save Node, Save image to Google Drive

In my Google Drive I have 2 TB available, and I’m not really using that space for anything else. Even with the massive amount I generate on a daily basis, I will not fill 2 TB for quite some time.

In the node you can specify the folder where you wish to save your work, including subfolders, using the following structure:

google_drive_folder_path:

ComfyUI – This will create a folder named ComfyUI in Google Drive’s root folder

ComfyUI/images – This will create a subfolder named images inside the folder named ComfyUI

ComfyUI/images/May_2025 – This will create a subfolder named May_2025 in the subfoler named images

Where is this amazing Google Drive Save node available?

For now this node is only available for a limited amount of people at Patreon. There’s 4 tiers to pick from, and the price ranges from €7 – €35 and are depended on how much work you are willing to do yourself.

Why only make the node available for paid Patreon members?

There are several reasons why I have decided to put this node, and probably more in the future, as a paid service on Patreon.

Up until now I have shared everything I make free of charge, and at the time of writing this I have close to 32 000 downloads here at CivitAI, and another ~2 000 downloads at Github. I spend a huge amount of time tinkering with workflows, creating nodes and testing new things. Time that I could have spent with family and friends, or working on projects I actually get paid for.

I will still share a lot of my work here on CivitAI and on Github, but Patreons will get early access to a lot of my work and also be able to come with suggestions and make requests. Some of my work (like this node) will only be available on Patreon.

This specific node has required a lot of work. Not only by creating the node itself through Python coding, but also setting up the API for it to be able to save images to Google drive. On top of that I have created a detailed guide (included in the node) that guides the user step-by-step on how to install the node as well as how to setup their own API on Google Cloud Console.

In my opinion, all that work should be worth something.

Now I want to welcome all of you to my Patreon: patreon.com/creepybits

And I hope that together we will create a smaller community with a passion for AI and ComfyUI, where we can discuss new solutions, brainstorm and share ideas with each other.
