A few days ago I wrote about the release Creepybits Stylizer, and today it’s time for the second app, Creepybits Character Transfer.
Even though there is plenty of AI models that are completely free to run, the average person doesn’t want to install and learn how to use these open models. You would need a subscription at some AI website, or pay for API calls which isn’t just a monetary cost, but a cost in privacy.
I have developed three different desktop apps, offering what I believe to be features that people in general would like access to. It’s a fun and creative way of image manipulation, and I believe it’s important that more people understand what can be done with AI, for good or bad.
The apps are created to be as simple and easy to use as possible, with no settings or prompting that can be changed by the user.
Creepybits Character Transfer
This app lets the user upload two images, and replace the person in image 1 with the person in image 2.
Upload Base Image (1): This is where you upload the image you want to make changes to. Optimally, it only contains one person, as more people will produce unwanted results. For the best result, the image should have a distinguishable background and share a similar color scheme with the second image. Meaning that either both images should be black and white, or in color. While mixing a black and white image with a color image can give good results, it is much less sure to do so. Example on base images:
Upload Reference Image (2): Here you upload the image of the person you want to put in your base image. This image should also be of a single person, but the background is less important. The reference image can be of a person against a simple background, it can also be a full body shot or an image of their face. Example of reference images:
Mix Style & Identity
Once you have selected and uploaded the base and reference images to the app, you are ready to mix things up a bit. How long it will take to get the result may vary depending on your system, for me, it takes about 4-5 seconds. The result, using the example images above:

System Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- High performance Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 50 series Graphics Card with 8GB+ VRAM.
- Older Graphics Cards: Older graphics cards like Nvidia GTX 10 series and RTX 30- and 40 series are supported.
- System RAM: The required system RAM is dependent on the amount of VRAM you have. Higher VRAM requires less system RAM. At 8 GB VRAM it’s recommended to have at least 16 GB system RAM.
- Storage Space: ~14 to 16 GB of free disk space (needed for the automated, secure download of the local AI models on first launch).
Important! AMD, Intel, and integrated graphics are not supported.
